Order Up : Fried Pickles with Butter Milk Ranch Dipping Sauce & Serrano Chilies
Each fried pickle was dipped in a special egg,milk,pickle/lemon juice batter and then coated in my special flour seasoning. I’ll give you one hint – I used the worlds hottest chili powder with the corn starch, and it wasn’t Serrano chili.
I started to research the ghost chili a couple of years ago when I got into a salsa contest with my friend Matt. We would go back and forth as to who could make the hottest chili. Well I don’t think either of us won even though we won at different times.
The toilet was definitely not my friend for a few years but when you use the chili sparingly it activates your saliva glands like when you add salt to cookie dough. On a side note I’ve been telling everyone about these fried pickles and to my surprise no one has tried them.
We have had fried zucchini in California which I also did but didn’t include in the photo. But…no pickles. Oh if you want to know I used Dill Pickles, and because I left them in the fridge for an hour before deep frying the breading was perfect(only do one coat not two dips in the wash to flour).
So, sorry hamburger joints I will be making my own fresh fried pickles and zucchini from now on out. Until next time.
After the meal is finished and your appetite is satisfied it’s time to say a short prayer to thank God. Thank you God for this food, and time that we get to spend with the ones we love. May our day be filled with blessings and may you watch over and keep our friends and family safe from harms way.
Have a great day!
